The President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council and of the Union of Arab Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions, Professor Sidi Mohammed Bouchenak Khelladi, who takes part in the work of this meeting, said he was honored by the choice made on the Algeria to host this conference and expressed the readiness of its Council to work for the smooth running and success of this event. Furthermore, and on the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly, the President of the CNESE, in addition to the Secretary General of AICESIS, met his counterparts from several member countries of the association, including in particular the presidents of the economic and social councils of the Russian Federation, Portugal, Monaco, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin and Mauritania and he spoke with each of them on the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation. It should be recalled that the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), founded in July 1999, today brings together more than seventy members from four continents (Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe) . It aims to promote dialogue and the exchange of experience and good practices between its members, and, more broadly, to encourage dialogue between economic and social partners around the world.
